Calling all Umpires!

Have you ever thought about being an umpire?  Now is you chance.  FGSA is recruiting new umpire candidates for the Fall 2009 season and beyond.  FGSA is sponsoring umpire training classes and in-field training opportunities for adults and high-school aged  teenagers interested in becoming umpires.  The instructional classes will follow American Softball Association rules and will be taught by the FGSA Umpire in Charge with 15 years of umpire certification and experience.  Please contact Cheryl Warner at

Safety Reminders to Players and Parents

Per ASA rules and for your child's safety, Players are not allowed to wear jewelry.  This includes earrings, studs, bracelets, necklaces etc. Hair bands that are worn on wrists are not allowed. 

Chin Straps were issued to all teams with helmets and masks.  Please make sure that all players are using the straps.  THEY ARE REQUIRED.
